Kin & Company's Thin Series is selected for the WantedDesign LaunchPad, a juried exhibition at WantedDesign Manhattan during NYCxDesign, which supports independent designers from around the world. We were finalists for the Art in the Parks: UNIQLO Park Expressions Grant to fund a project which focuses on the possibility for social engagement to enrich our public spaces. The project, "By Ourselves, All Together Now," was proposed to the NYC Parks Department as part of an on-going development of the Thin Series, and a re-imagining the ubiquitous public bench. The installation is both functional and sculptural, as it proposes new ways to collectively share our public spaces, utilizing design to promote curiosity, play, and, community.
